I Wanna Dance With Somebody Review

I Wanna Dance With Somebody is the tale of America's most influential and successful singer Whitney Houston as we see her rise to fame and eventual downfall to drugs.

A beautiful and celebratory biopic of a life that was intertwined with huge amounts of success but a lot of heart break in her personal life.

This is like your standard biopic and doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary. A simple telling of a life that keeps you intrigued and with a performance as good as Naomi Acki it is very easy to be invested in such a story.

Her performance was a real highlight and the way she carried each song was incredible and powerful.

As someone who did not know much about Whitney Houston’s life I was very entertained, a big factor of that is of course the music as most of her songs are just incredible and so to listen to them in the cinema with those speakers did at times give me chills.

If you are a big fan or hardly know who she was you will enjoy and celebrate her life as it plays out on the big screen.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody deserves a 7.4 out of 10.
