Avatar: The Way Of Water Review

James Cameron’s highly anticipated Avatar sequel The Way of the Water is an improvement from the first with a better story and a lot more emotions that help carry this movie.

Following a decade on the events from the first film Jake Sully has three children and one adopted child which was birthed by Doctor Grace Augustine.

But Colonel Miles comes back alive as a Na’Vi and seeks revenge on Jake.

The heart of this story is about belonging and family. The children are seen as outcast to the new tribe because they are half breed and are forest people not water people.

And that’s where this film becomes interesting because instead of it being a constant battle with guns, it’s a battle of character.

To define the person you want to be and accept that person.

We all want to be accepted by friends, families, and your peers but first you have to accept yourself and make sure that you are comfortable with the person you are.

This movie tells that kind of story and it's the best part of this film because it brings the emotions needed to connect with brand new characters.

Avatar 2 is a fun movie that doesn’t break any new grounds with story. Maybe with technology but for its story it is heartwarming at times and does keep you entertained for its over 3 hour runtime but nothing you have not seen before.

Avatar The Way of the Water deserves a 7.5 out of 10.
