Understanding War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) | Caesar's Inner War

For this video we are discussing the fictional world in 2017’s War for the Planets of the Apes and especially the character of Caesar.

The leader of his Ape community.

He in this movie is fighting a war he never wanted, never asked for, and is actively trying to stop.

But the lunatic of a human leader fails to care for the compassion that Caesar has, mocking him for sparing a human’s life, and decides that killing all the apes is the righteous choice.

Like he is a messiah that is leading his troops to a world of salvation.

Both leaders are very different.

Caesar cares for the safety of his community. Making sure that they all survive and find peace in a new world.

And because Caesar is committed to his cause to protect his fellow apes, he gains the ultimate respect from them.

Apes bowing to him just to be noticed. Caesar is a true messiah to them. A leader that not only fights for them, but will always protect them.
