Decision to Leave Review

Decision to Leave directed by Park Chan-wook is a story about love and romance entangled by corruption and guilt.

And is one that is enthralling as it is unnervingly beautiful.

A movie that is 2 hours and 18 minutes long flies by in the first hour and half with a story that is masterfully paced with entangled scenes where the mystery of what is being shown slowly reveals itself.

You know with a Park Chan-Wook movie that twists and turns are always around the corner and that does not stop with this movie because you as the audience feel very involved in the seedy nature that is on show.

A director with actors and stories that belong on the big screen. A movie that has the excitement of mystery, the warmth of love, and the shock of every new revelation that is unearthed.

My one criticism is that if this movie was 2 hours and cut 15 minutes then it would have been more concise but that’s okay that it wasn’t because to see artists like the people working on this movie for those extra minutes was all worth it.

A sublime movie that deserves an 8.2 out of 10.
